Disney Managing their Brand

Orlando Weekly
About a month ago, we went on a Personal Branding trip with Jason Shaffer. We left at about 6 AM and it took all morning to get to Orlando. Once we got there, we instantly had 2 hours to look around and eat at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. My friends and I also had enough time to see a Rogue One Presentation before heading back to check in with the rest of the group.

Once the class regrouped, we split up into two smaller groups. Each had its own tour guide. The program was Disney’s Manage Your Own Personal Brand. It taught us how we should be careful about what brand we are presenting and how we should try to grow it to be a good one. The easiest way of doing so is by taking control of it rather than letting people do it for you.

At the end of the tour, we went to see Muppet Vision 3D. I thought it had a perfect blend of being a movie and breaking the 4th wall multiple times. After seeing the show we went to the famous Tower of Terror and saw the other Rogue One show. Finally, Before heading back to school, we rode the movie ride and battled each other in the Toy Story Midway Mania (Which I ended up 2nd out of 4 people)!

At the end of the day, there was another Rogue One presentation (Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular), except this one was made with fireworks, projectors, flamethrowers, and lasers. Then we had our final head count and headed home after receiving a complimentary Manage Your Own Personal Brand bag. Half of the way back the AC stopped working so we stopped at a 7-Eleven to get cool air. Some people even bought ice bags instead of icy water. Ten minutes after that stop, the AC started working again so it wasn’t a boiling hot bus anymore.

Disney Through the Eyes of a Child

List Challenges

One day, I received a gigantic box set of most of Disney’s movies, including the one’s I have never heard about. This box set opened up my world to a world of wonder and imagination. And opened my life up to this worldwide company.

As a child, I lived in many countries. This meant that my family would move very often. One of these countries was Germany. Over the summer, we went to Paris to visit my godfather and to see the wonderful city. While we were there, we also visited Disneyland Paris! This was by far my favourite part of the trip. It was my first time to a Disney park and I simply adored it. I loved how everything was made to set a particular theme and how it was separated into different sections.

My favourite section was DiscoveryLand. DiscoveryLand was a bit of a more steampunk Tomorrowland. A few reasons are because it looked amazing and because it had (in my opinion) the best ride. This was, Space Mountain: Mission 2! There are two reasons why I love Space Mountain: Mission 2 so much. The first is because it looks amazing from both the inside and outside and the second reason is because it was the first “real” roller coaster I ever rode.

Now, I have visited Disneyland Paris many times and every time it reminds me of that fateful box set that I received in the UK. To this day, I still think that Space Mountain: Mission 2 is the best roller coaster I ever rode on.
